Easter Candles

Last week we created our own Palm Crosses – this week we asked parishioners to get their thinking hats on and create a Paschal Candle – a posh word for Easter candle!

A Paschal Candle is the very large candle we have in church – it is renewed every year at the opening of the Easter Vigil when a “new fire” is lit and blessed. The paschal candle represents the light of Christ coming into the world – the risen Christ overcoming all darkness and evil.
