  • Happy and Glorious -11th – 14th May at 7.45 pm.
    • St James Players summer show in honour of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Anyone wanting fish & chips needs to order by Tuesday 10th May latest.
  • Sunday 15th May- APCM -11.00 am and at 6.30 pm you can hear our placement student, Charlie, preach for the first time at Evensong do come and support her.
  • Friday 20th May- Our new Director of Music, David Pimm, starts – please pray for David as he takes on the is important role.
  • Saturday 21st May – Summer Spirituality Afternoon – ” His Body and Blood” – looking at the Eucharist with fresh eyes. Creative and meditative afternoon where you will learn about the history and meaning of the Eucharist. Welcome drinks from 2.30 pm with 3.00 – 5.00 pm for the main event in church – this is free but please book a place with Mother Katie.
  • Sunday 22nd May- Christian Aid Week – Cake Sale at coffee time after the 9.30 am service- and Christian Aid Children’s colouring and quiz books for the service time.
  • Thursday 26th May- Ascension Day Eucharist (7.30 pm) and launch of Thy Kingdom Come Prayer Days – come and pick up your free booklet of prayers.
  • Sunday 5th June – All Together Pentecost Party and Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations – joint service at 10.30 am followed by celebration refreshments in the hall (please note no 8.00 am or 6.30 pm.)
  • Saturday 11th June -7.00 pm for 7.30 pm – Beetle Drive Community fundraising event with Fish and Chips – a fun game for all the family. All profits to Christian Aid (Ukraine Appeal).
  • Sunday 12th June – Trinity Sunday with Festal Evensong and Benediction at 6.30 pm
  • Saturday 18th June – Barry Eaton Organ Recital at 7.30 pm with light refreshments.
  • Saturday 24th June – A Tour of St James- explore the history and theology of the building. Starts at 2.30 pm and ends 3.30 pm- all welcome.
  • Saturday 2nd July – PCC Training and Planning Day 2.30 – 5.00 pm
  • Sunday 3rd July – Bishop of Kingston preaching at the 9.30 am Service – with coffee and cake after the service to mark Bishop Richard’s upcoming retirement and to thank him for such faithful service.
  • Saturday 9th July – Summer Social Dance in Aid of Ukraine – 7.30 – 10.30 pm
  • Saturday 16th July – Summer Fair -12 noon – 2.30 pm
  • Saturday 23rd July – 2.00 pm – Baby Baptism
  • Sunday 24th July – End of ‘term’ with a special joint service for St. James Day at 10.30 am – followed by parish picnic in the hall/grounds. (Please note no 8.00 am or 6.30 pm)

Regular Services

    • 8.00 am -Traditional Said Holy Communion
      9.30 am – Parish Family Communion with Choir and coffee served
      6.30 pm – Sung Evensong
  • Tuesday
    • First Tuesday in the month Evening Communion at 7 .30 pm in church.
  • Wednesday
    • 12.00 noon – Celtic Communion led by Mother Katie (15-minute service) in church, followed by coffee and an opportunity for chat or private prayer. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat in church or we have a menu you can order from. If you are experiencing financial hardship please ask for ‘the Vicar’s special’ and order for free.
    • 5.00 pm – Facebook Evening Prayer led by Mother Katie
    • 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm St James Community Choir in Church – for everyone over 12 come and have a fun night out and be t aught how to sing (for free) by one of London’s top voice coaches – with opportunities to perform for the community and at a few services and events throughout the year.

    • 7.00 pm – Parish Choir Practice – admission by audition
