Following Mother Katie’s announcement in Church last Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Mother Shavaun who is joining as an Assistant Curate.
Mother Shavaun will be at all services on Sunday 2nd October including Harvest Festival at 9.30 am and Harvest Full Choral Evensong at 6.30 pm.
Mother Shavaun introduces herself:
I am so excited to be joining you on Sunday, and I am looking forward to this next stage of my ministry. And I know you would like to hear a bit about me, so here goes…
I am a wife to Ariyo and a Mother to Otto, our five-year-old son.
My theological training was at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield.
I have a degree in Sports Therapy and have competed internationally in athletics. My interests and hobbies are; travelling, films, reading fiction, art, acoustic music, yoga, vintage clothing and a good BBC drama.
All that has shaped who I am. But more than anything else, I am nourished and sustained by the living word of God and the sharing of communion together.
I know this place will be a blessing and of great support to this stage of my journey.
With my prayers,
Mother Shavaun
