Choral and organ scholarships
We are pleased to offer up to 4 SATB / organ scholarships of £2,000 p.a. renewable for up to 3 years to support the development of choral church music in our robed choir.
The Church of England Parish Church of St James, New Malden seeks to appoint up to four choral scholars to its robed SATB choir. Choral scholars will be experienced singers capable of leading a section of the choir. Applications will also be considered for an organ scholar looking to develop as a church organist and able to sing.
The mixed adult/junior choir sings morning parish communion and choral evensong each Sunday and sings at major church festivals.
The scholarships are for a year, renewable for up to 3 years and provide the opportunity to develop proven musical talent. They may suit 6th form or college students but all applicants will be considered. £2,000 p.a. scholarship is offered to help with costs of the scholars’ musical development.
