Candle-lit carols

6.30 pm Sunday 17th December

‘Once in royal David’s city, stood a lowly cattle shed…’

Our candle-lit service of nine readings and carols takes place this Sunday from 6.30 pm at St James, Bodley Road, New Malden KT3 5QE.

Grab an hour away from the hectic preparations to experience the true spirit of Christmas. As well as the traditional congregational carols choir highlights include:

  • The holly and the ivy (arr. Reginald Jacques)
  • Lo, how a rose e’er blooming (arr. David Blackwell)
  • Ding dong! Merrily on high (arr. Mark Wilberg)
  • Shepherds, called by angels (Will Todd)
  • In dulci jubilo (arr. R. L. Pearsall)
  • I heard the bells on Christmas Day (Philip Ledger)

‘Sing, choirs of angels… Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!’
