Dear Rev Thomas,
Several years ago St James gave me an opportunity to talk to the congregation about the importance of Neighbourhood Watch in ensuring that local people were aware of local policing issues and creating a feedback route directly to the local safer neighbourhood team. The scheme has gone from strength to strength and, especially in these challenging times, has proved its value in publicising various scams and the modus operandi of our, thankfully few, burglaries. There are still a number of roads yet to be covered in St James ward by the scheme and I wondered if you would help us to publicise these through your email distribution list so we can recruit more coordinators. I should emphasise that the police do not hold these email addresses for each road. They remain as a bcc distributed by each road coordinator.
